LimeLight (IPL/ Intense Pulsed Light )

About LimeLight

How does the Cutera LimeLight work?

By selecting programs we can customize your Limelight facial to your skin type and selectively treat the brown and/or red pigmented areas on your skin. Heat is applied to the pigmented brown or red cells that causes the therapeutic effect. Treatment time should take less than half an hour.

How many treatments will I need?

One to five treatments once every 4 weeks are usually sufficient to see results. Additional treatments may be recommended, especially for excessive sun damaged skin.

What will happen after the treatment?

This treatment may have downtime. Immediately following treatment, brown spots may start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. The treated area may be mildly swollen. This typically lasts a few hours and possibly a day or longer. Make-up can be applied to cover the redness. Within one to two weeks, the darkened spots may flake off and fade. Diffuse redness or telangiectasia will decrease and your complexion will improve.

Is it painful?

No. When the pulse of light is delivered, patients may experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. Anesthesia or pain medicine is not required.

Will the spots and redness reappear over time?

New brown, telangiectasia and diffuse redness may appear with new sun damage; howeverthey too can be treated. Remember to always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and diffuse redness. Rosacea is chronic and cannot be “cured” with any laser or light source, however its appearance can be improved.

About Super Titan

How does the Titan treatment work?

Titan uses a safe infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. Laser Genesis

About Laser Genesis

Permanent Hair Removal

About Permanent Hair Removal

How does the Laser Hair Removal treatment work?

The Cutera CoolGlide was designed to be the most outstanding laser hair removal system on the market for all skin types from light to dark, including tanned patients. Its unique design, longer wavelength, and innovative cooling allows extremely effective, safe and permanent results. As the name implies the CoolGlide handpiece cools and soothes as it glides along your skin. When the pulse is delivered, some patients experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. No local anesthesia is required. Laser Hair Removal does not react to any blonde, gray or red hairs.

How many treatments will I need?

Most areas require anywhere between 5-10 treatments once every 6 weeks depending on theperson and the area that is being treated. Interestingly, not all hairs are actively growing at the same time and actually go through three distinct phases: growth, regression and resting. Laser Hair Removal treatments work by disabling the hair that is in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Since other hairs will enter this active growth phase at different times, multiple treatments may be necessary to disable all of the hair follicles in a given area.

What will happen after treatment?

Immediately after treatment, the area may appear red, have tiny bumps or a bit swollen. This will usually go away within a couple hours and sometimes a couple of days. Three to seven days after treatment, you may experience what seems to be regrowth of hair. Actually most of these hairs begin to shed as a result of your treatment and are not regrowing. Between treatments do not wax or pluck your hair, you may shave the area as many times as you like.

Is it painful?

The feeling you experience from Laser Hair Removal varies from person to person. Most people say that the feeling of Laser Hair Removal is similar to the feeling of a rubber band snapping against your skin. Some people find it painless. Because of the CoolGlide handpiece, most areas such as arms and legs are not painful. More sensitive areas are numbed with ice before the treatment.

Botox

About Botox

How does Botox work?

BOTOX ® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Dr. Lee will inject these muscles with BOTOX ® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines.

What areas can be treated?

Botox is mainly treated on areas that have wrinkles due to repeated muscle contractions from facial movements. Common Botox treatment areas are worry lines on your forehead, lines between the eyebrows, crow’s and jawlines. Botox also helps to treat excessive sweat on areas such as your underarms and palms.

What will happen after the treatment?

Although most patients report few if any side effects, the most common is slight redness that disappears within a few hours after the treatment. The Botox treatment only takes about 15 minutes and you can continue with your daily routine such as exercise and wearing makeup immediately after treatment.

Fillers

About Fillers

How do Fillers work?

Fillers contain Hyaluronic acid (HA) which is our skin's natural moisturizer. Much like a sponge, its primary function is to bind and absorb water, which creates volume in the face. As we age, HA diminishes, which contributes to the presence of lines and folds. Fillers work to correct this by restoring hyaluronic acid in your skin, helping diminish wrinkles and folds. HA and collagen are necessary for our skin to have fullness. When we are born- we have 100% of this. As we age, we lose a little bit each day. This becomes evident in our 30’s as we develop creases/wrinkles. When we inject fillers, we are just restoring back what your body has lost. Dr. Lee will inject the fillers in the desired areas. This process takes less than half an hour.

What areas can be treated?

Fillers are treated in areas on the face that need volume and in wrinkles that need to be “filled”. Fillers are usually injected in areas such as your cheeks to increase volume, lips to give a fuller appearance, the nose bridge to make your nose look taller and improve both your side and frontal profile, and to fill your smile lines (nasolabial folds).

What will happen after treatment?

Although most patients report few if any side effects, the most common is slight redness that disappears within a few hours after the treatment. You may experience slight bruising or swelling that can be covered with makeup. You are able to continue your daily activities such as exercise.

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

About HIFU

How does HIFU work?

HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the deep layers of your skin (subcutaneous) without harming the superficial layers. The ultrasound energy causes the tissues to heat up rapidly. Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage. This damage has no side effects and actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen. The increase in collagen results in tighter, firmer skin with fewer wrinkles. This treatment takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the treatment area. You may experience a slight discomfort during a HIFU procedure. Some people describe it as tiny electric pulses or a light prickly sensation.

What areas can be treated?

HIFU can be treated in most areas that have fat, sagging or loose skin. HIFU can also be treated on all skin types, even people who have a suntan. HIFU can be treated on the face and neck, upper arms, thighs and stomach area.

How many HIFU treatments will I need?

Although you can see a difference even after one treatment, we recommend treatment onceevery 2 months for face/neck and once every month for body areas such as arms, legs andstomach to maintain results.

What will happen after treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, you may experience mild redness or swelling, which will gradually recede over the next few hours. You will feel some tightness in your skin. You will see the maximum results of the HIFU treatment two months after treatment.

Is it painful?

Some may experience a slight discomfort during the HIFU procedure. Some people describe it as tiny electric pulses or a light prickly sensation. Areas such as the face line and forehead may be more sensitive. Anesthesia or numbing is not required.

The treatment takes about 45 minutes to complete.

How many treatments will I need?

After 2-5 days after treatment, a mild peeling of the skin may occur. During downtime, please be sure to keep the area moisturized and wear lots of sunscreen.

Is it painful?

Although this procedure is not painful, some people experience a slight tingly feeling and may experience discomfort due to the strong smell.

Lipo Laser

About Lipo Laser

How does Lipo Laser work?

Lipo Laser uses laser pads to shrink fat cells without harming the superficial layers of your skin. The laser penetrates the fat cells which creates tiny holes that causes the fat cells to empty out the contents in the cell and shrink the fat cells. The body then flushes out the fat cell contents by natural metabolism and through the lymphatic system. Unlike traditional liposuction, this treatment does not remove fat cells, but shrink them. Like all slimming procedures, a healthy diet, drinking lots of water and exercise is required for optimal results.

What areas can be treated?

Lipo Laser can be treated on areas of the body that store fat such as stomach, back, thighs, buttocks and upper arms.

How many treatments will I need?

On average, most patients require about 6-8 treatments twice a week per area for the best results.

What will happen after treatment?

Lipo Laser has little to no downtime. You can continue to do normal activities such as exercise. We recommend drinking a lot of water on the day of the treatment.

Is it painful?

No, the treatment process is very comfortable. There is no pain and only a slight warm feeling.

Eyelash Extensions

About Eyelash Extensions

How long do eyelash extensions last?

Eyelash extensions last as long as the growth cycle of your natural lashes. This time span varies depending on the person, but it is on average about every 6 weeks. We recommend you to get a “fill” once every 2-4 to keep the extensions looking their best.

How long does the application process take?

At J Beauty Clinic we offer single lash, classic set lashes. This process takes about two hours.

Microblading

About Microblading

How does Microblading work?

Microblading is a procedure where the technician uses tiny needles that make up a smalldisposable blade to scratch and put in pigment directly underneath your skin. It creates hair-like strokes to match the natural shape of your brow making your brows appear fuller even without the use of makeup. The technician first creates a design for your eyebrows, then starts the process.

How does Microblading differ from traditional makeup tattoos?

Microblading is semi-permanent. Unlike traditional tattoo, microblading does not penetrate deep underneath your skin, the pigment used is also less concentrated so your body ends up metabolizing it and it fades away. This is good because eyebrow shapes and styles always change so you are not stuck with an outdated brow shape.

How many treatments will I need?

Although some skin types achieve completion after 1 session, most skin types require about 2-3 procedures to achieve desired results.

How long does Microblading last?

Microblading can last about 6-18 months depending on how your skin reacts to the procedure. The results of microblading and how long it lasts has many variables such as aftercare, skin type and lifestyle.

What will happen after treatment?

Right after the procedure and over the next couple of days the treatment may appearbolder/darker than usual. This is normal and not the way it will remain. After 1-2 weeks you may notice flaking/shedding of skin. After this the treatment area may appear about 50% lighter than it was immediately after the procedure. This is normal as well. Following the technician’s aftercare instructions are crucial in obtaining the desired results to this procedure.

Is it painful?

There may be slight discomfort during the procedure, but the technician uses numbing cream to numb the area before treatment. Because microblading is done manually, it does not hurt as much as traditional tattoos and cosmetic tattoos.

Lip Blush Tattoo

About Lip Blush Tattoo

How does Lip Blush Tattoo work?

Lip Blush Tattoo works similar to microblading and ombre eyebrow tattoos. The technician uses a machine that has a tiny needle on the tip that deposits pigment on the lips that builds a layer of color. Lip Blush Tattoo lasts on average about one to two years. This is different with every person depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and products used. The procedure takes about 2-3 hours including consultation, lip designing, numbing and tattooing.

How many treatments will I need?

A minimum of at least two sessions once every 4-6 weeks are needed to achieve results. Some people may need more depending on how well their skin holds the tattooing ink. This procedure is semi-permanent so the ink will start to fade/disappear as time passes.

What will happen after treatment?

For Lip Blush Tattoo, the aftercare plays a big role in how long your lips will last. After the treatment your lips will appear darker, vibrant and slightly red. The redness and pigment will fade about 30%-50%  in color as your lips heal. This is normal. Your lips will scab for about one week after the treatment. Avoid the sun, sweat and beach/pool for about two weeks. Your lips will be fully healed and have the completed look in about 4-6 weeks after the procedure.

Is it painful?

Lip Blush Tattoo doesn’t hurt as such, it is more of a sensation. The process itself is not painful thanks to the numbing ointment that is applied. You may feel a slight tingling sensation after treatment which usually goes away before the next day. Pain levels vary depending on the person’s pain tolerance.

Laser Tattoo Removal

About Laser Tattoo Removal

How does Laser Tattoo Removal work?

During the procedure, we use laser technology to treat tattooed areas of the skin. The laser is selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. The tattoo ink particles absorb the laser energy, heat up, and shatter into smaller ink particles. After a few days or weeks after the treatment, the body’s immune system flushes away the shattered ink particles, causing the tattoo to fade. Over a series of treatments, more and more of the ink shatters which gradually removes the tattoo.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of sessions needed to remove your tattoo depends on the size of the tattoos, the colors used, the ink type and your skin type. On average we recommend about 6-10 sessions once every four to six weeks for the best results. Please keep in mind that every tattoo is different and some people may need more than the average number of treatments for desired results.

What will happen after treatment?

Laser tattoo removal recovery is minimal. You may experience some discomfort around and in the treatment area, but it should not inhibit you from your daily activities. You might experience some redness, swelling, bruising/yellowing and minor blistering around the treated area. These side effects are temporary and your skin should heal within one to two weeks.

Is it painful?

The feeling you experience from Laser Tattoo Removal varies from person to person. Most people say that the feeling is similar to the feeling of a rubber band snapping against your skin. Some people find it painless. It is a very quick treatment that only takes minutes for a small tattoo.
