About Lip Blush Tattoo

How does Lip Blush Tattoo work?

Lip Blush Tattoo works similar to microblading and ombre eyebrow tattoos. The technician uses a machine that has a tiny needle on the tip that deposits pigment on the lips that builds a layer of color. Lip Blush Tattoo lasts on average about one to two years. This is different with every person depending on factors such as skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and products used. The procedure takes about 2-3 hours including consultation, lip designing, numbing and tattooing.

How many treatments will I need?

A minimum of at least two sessions once every 4-6 weeks are needed to achieve results. Some people may need more depending on how well their skin holds the tattooing ink. This procedure is semi-permanent so the ink will start to fade/disappear as time passes.

What will happen after treatment?

For Lip Blush Tattoo, the aftercare plays a big role in how long your lips will last. After the treatment your lips will appear darker, vibrant and slightly red. The redness and pigment will fade about 30%-50%  in color as your lips heal. This is normal. Your lips will scab for about one week after the treatment. Avoid the sun, sweat and beach/pool for about two weeks. Your lips will be fully healed and have the completed look in about 4-6 weeks after the procedure.

Is it painful?

Lip Blush Tattoo doesn’t hurt as such, it is more of a sensation. The process itself is not painful thanks to the numbing ointment that is applied. You may feel a slight tingling sensation after treatment which usually goes away before the next day. Pain levels vary depending on the person’s pain tolerance.
